Currently the home of the world-class Ferleman Art Gallery, 9 North Centre has been a fixture in downtown Cumberland since the 1890’s.  The building housed Bernstein's Furniture Store from about 1914 until 1981, when it was sold to Goodwill Industries.  Goodwill used it as their retail store, processing and training center until it was purchased by H&S Development in August of 2006 and redeveloped by Betsey and Doug Schwab. It currently houses a world class Art Gallery with over 10,000 square ft. of exhibit space and five luxury apartments.
